I’ve been in a lot of bands over the years and some of them have been quite seminal , putting new ideas, styles and repertoire into the English folk scene and beyond. My folk career started as a hobby, became a job for 10 years and then went back to being a hobby or more accurately, a lifestyle, because working with the music has filled my leisure hours and informed my working hours for more than two decades.<\/p>\n
I’ve been (and still am) honoured to work with some of the most creative folk musicians in England. They’ve enabled me to be part of that creative process and to use what talents I have to give a flavour to the final outcomes. I don’t think I’ve ever been much of an innovator, but have had the ability to take a raw idea from somebody and work with them to get it on stage or recorded or broadcast.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
