Johnny Adams conceived and contributed to a BBC Radio 4 programme entitled 'From Dots to Downloads', about centuries old music manuscripts making their way onto the internet. (July 21st 09)

Johnny Adams is taking early retirement this summer (09) so that he can devote more time to folk music, research, sailing and friends - not in any particular order.

Johnny Adams & Chris Partington will be giving a talk on the Village Music Project at this years English Country Music Weekend, at Ampthill on June 20/21 2009.

The Old Swan Band are booked at Sidmouth, Towersey and Shrewsbury festivals in 2009.

Ryburn 3 Step have taken on a monthly radio folk programme on PhoenixFM in Halifax. It's called 'Rolling Round the Ryburn. I'm presenting it but would like to get other potential presenters and contributors involved. Listeners outside the transmitter range can catch the monthly show via the internet.
